1—3月，3641个国家地表水考核断面中，水质优良(Ⅰ—Ⅲ类)断面比例为89.9%，同比上升0.8个百分点；劣Ⅴ类断面比例为0.7%，同比上升0.1个百分点。主要污染指标为化学需氧量、高锰酸盐指数和总磷。
主要江河水质状况
1—3月，长江、黄河、珠江、松花江、淮河、海河、辽河等七大流域及西北诸河、西南诸河和浙闽片河流水质优良(Ⅰ—Ⅲ类)断面比例为91.5%，同比上升1.2个百分点；劣Ⅴ类断面比例为0.5%，同比上升0.1个百分点。主要污染指标为化学需氧量、高锰酸盐指数和氨氮。其中，长江流域、珠江流域、浙闽片河流、西北诸河和西南诸河水质为优；黄河流域、松花江流域、淮河流域、海河流域和辽河流域水质良好。
重点湖(库)水质状况及营养状态
1—3月，监测的201个重点湖(库)中，水质优良(Ⅰ—Ⅲ类)湖库个数占比82.1%，同比上升1.1个百分点；劣Ⅴ类水质湖库个数占比4.5%，同比下降0.1个百分点。主要污染指标为总磷、化学需氧量和高锰酸盐指数。181个监测营养状态的湖(库)中，中度富营养的9个，占5.0%；轻度富营养的31个，占17.1%；其余湖(库)为中营养或贫营养状态。其中，太湖和巢湖水质均为良好、轻度富营养；滇池为轻度污染、中度富营养，主要污染指标为总磷、化学需氧量和高锰酸盐指数；洱海水质良好、中营养；丹江口水库和白洋淀水质均为优、中营养。
地级及以上城市国家地表水考核断面排名
1—3月，全国地级及以上城市中，柳州、张家界和丽水市等30个城市国家地表水考核断面水环境质量相对较好(从第1名至第30名)，五家渠、濮阳和开封市等30个城市国家地表水考核断面水环境质量相对较差(从倒数第1名至倒数第30名)。
咸阳市泔河入泾河、朝阳市大凌河西支入河口和绥化市/黑河市通肯河大桥等30个国家地表水考核断面水环境质量变化情况相对较好(从第1名至第30名)，渭南市裕西、天津市新老米店闸和玉溪市化念水库等30个国家地表水考核断面水环境质量变化情况相对较差(从倒数第1名至倒数第30名)。
